The Synergy Disciplines

Pilates

Pilates is a series of physical movements and even more, a way of life designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. Its effects are not only muscular but mental as well, focusing on healthy, deep breathing. This full-body workout increases strength and flexibility, particularly for the back and abdomen, while improving posture, balance and muscle control. A primary goal for Synergy is to continually challenge their students to take what they learn in the studio and apply it to their daily lives and activities as they become stronger and more centered.

"I have seen more positive changes in my body in just over 2 months at Synergy than I have in years with other exercise programs or studios. "

-Julie Dalton

Pilates Mat & Arc Barrel

Pilates Mat is a core strengthening exercise system that incorporates a balance between stretch and strength. In our mat classes we incorporate the Pilates circle and therabands. The Arc Barrel is an accessory piece of the Pilates equipment, and these classes incorporate the Pilates Mat work on the barrel. Please call to sign up for Arc Barrel classes as space is limited. Get ready for a great total body workout!

GYROTONIC®

GYROTONIC is a unique System that encourages the body to go beyond its limitations by increasing its range of motion and developing coordination. These non-impact motion patterns are natural rotations of the muscle joints from contractions to extensions. Ideal for golfers and snowboarders alike, these exercises improve the functional capacity of the spine, resulting in a well-proportioned body that is significantly less prone to injuries.

Yoga

Yoga is a traditional Eastern practice designed to calm the mind, heal the body, and free the spirit. Synergy offers a Vinyasa style of Yoga, which combines breathing technique with a vigorous flow of movements. This athletic practice relieves stress and creates balance and flexibility in the body. It also increases strength and stamina while improving mental focus. Ultimately, upon continued practice, it will help achieve a sense of inner peace and happiness.   Classes are mixed levels unless otherwise specified.
